The Nursing Officer manages to monitor the daily growth of plants in the nursery. Short Job Description: The Nursing Officer is responsible for monitoring the daily growth of plants in the nursery, ensuring that they are given the right food such as water, checking if the plants are infected with any diseases and planting new seedlings. Your Qualifications: The Nursing profession must have the ability to produce quality plant material, act on instructions, and solve basic plant-related problems. They should have decent communication skills, basic knowledge in kindergarten practices and should have strong resilience Nursery Worker.
Carry out nursery chores Nursery Worker:
In order to be effective, that person must be able to: PC1. identify plants and their species, the right places to put them in the nursery according to their properties and check them for PC2 quality. identify and perform high quality seed filters and ensure temporary seed storage in the correct PC3 condition. select and use PC4 kindergarten tools. maintain the cleanliness of the nursery at all times Make seed bed repairs and care In order to do well, one must know: PC5. choose good quality seeds PC6. select bags of the appropriate size and PC7 specifications. plant seeds in bags / cup root trainer to assist in the planting of PC8 micro-plants. make timely sowing of PC9 seeds. prepare the soil and make germination beds according to a specific PC10 set. place the seeds in the germination area and cover with coir mat / gunny PC11 bags. water the seedlings to maintain maximum humidity using hand tools and PC12 garden tools. select high-quality germinated seeds, bind them and ensure safe transport – PC13. count no: of the seeds we have developed so as to test the mortality rate of PC14. make weeds at the right time and ensure that the unwanted seedlings are removed PC15. apply the fertilizer as instructions received by PC16. perform safe handling, storage and disposal of fertilizer PC17. identify and control pests and rodents through the use of pesticides according to instructions received by PC18. provide shade to control sunlight on growing plants PC19. do the harvesting of the plants in the right category and put in or pot and call them PC20. soak the cut flowers in germs, count them into clusters, and place them

Guidelines for Assessment Nursery Worker:
- Criteria for assessment for each Qualification Pack will be created by the Sector Skill Council. Each Performance Criteria
(PC) will be assigned marks proportional to its importance in NOS. SSC will also lay down proportion of marks for Theory and
Skills Practical for each PC Nursery Worker - The assessment for the theory part will be based on knowledge bank of questions created by the SSC
- Individual assessment agencies will create unique question papers for theory part for each candidate at each
examination/training center (as per assessment criteria below) - Individual assessment agencies will create unique evaluations for skill practical for every student at each
examination/training center based on this criteria - To pass the Qualification Pack , every trainee should score a minimum of 50% in aggregate Nursery Worker.
- In case of successfully passing only certain number of NOS’s, the trainee is eligible to take subsequent assessment on the
balance NOS’s to pass the Qualification Pack
