Brief Job Description

This role is responsible for supervising the various heat treatment operations like Carburizing, Tempering, Nitriding, Induction Hardening and Quenching, maintaining process & output parameters viz. Temperature, cycle time, bath concentrations & hardness, strength, microstructure, , guiding operatives and technicians to complete the assigned task, maintaining a safe & healthy working environment on the shop floor and maintaining records related to production, rejections, material movement and manpower productivity for a line/shift.

Process Improvement

Assessment Guidelines

  1. Criteria for assessment for each Qualification Pack will be created by the Sector Skill Council. Each Element/ Performance Criteria (PC) will be assigned marks proportional to its importance in NOS. SSC will also lay down proportion of marks for Theory and Skills Practical for each Element/ PC.
